Skyscanner in 8 simple steps
We love to travel and we also do a lot of preparation ourselves. With at least ten travel search engines out there, it seems one or two always stand out of the competition. Some of the Travel search engines out there just to name a few are:
- Google Flights
I wanted to name more but there’s a lot, instead you can check out Google or Wikipedia for a comprehensive list of Travel Search Engines.
Now that tourism is getting a whole lot of attention now a days through social media, people releases the traveler within him/her. Using such Travel Search Engines does give the traveler control, ease of booking and information that only exists in travel agencies previously. Just imagine, the time you’ll spend visiting a travel agency, spending at least an hour in traffic, waiting in line to speak with a representative while watching the clock tick by when you should be shopping right now, looking for flights, spending another hour booking and paying and then finally spending another hour in traffic, feet and back hurting, thinking of the work you’ve already done if booking was simple. That’s where these sites come in handy.
In this article, I’ll be talking about Skyscanner. So what is Skyscanner? According to Wikipedia “Skyscanner is a global metasearch engine for information on the World Wide Web that enables people to find comparisons for flights, hotels and car hire. The service is free to users and directs you to the airline, hotel, car hire provider or travel agency to complete the booking process.” Let’s unleash the geek in you and get in more detail about metasearch engines – these are search tool that uses results from other search engines to produce its own result. It combines and creates a report that users can understand from data gathered from another search engine, in this case the airline company’s flight schedule.
Ok now lets dive into how it works.
